Since starting this blog I have learned a whole lot more about internet businesses. One thing stands out from everything else. It seems that of the people who set out to begin an internet business and purchase products, e-books, guides, pay-per-click campaigns, etc., more than 75%* fail because of at least one of these things:
- not reading the information fully or not following the steps
- getting poor advice – there is a lot of that around
- being impatient
- wanting to “get rich quick” – it is a myth
- unwilling to take the time to plan.
* This figure is my estimate based on comments in forums, blogs and other community sites.
I am working on my plan at the moment and it involves a lot of reading, brainstorming and writing notes. So if you are interested in getting into online business, and are at the planning stage, make sure you have a pen and paper handy at all times. Some of the better ideas have come to me when I was away from my desk.
