As I have been moving slowly towards chosing my web site niche, I have found a few useful tools for traffic measurement and estimation of the profitability of search terms. The tools are not 100% accurate but they give a reasonable indication of the supply and demand.
One thing I now realize is that there is an oversupply of web sites offering all manner of money making plans. However, there are no easy ways to make money online.
The key, I believe, is to build a web site that meets real needs and gives valuable advice on a narrow niche. You might offer online business degrees or even review business degree courses. Whatever you choose, it has to be your passion.
