Wouldn’t you say that before you consider the possibility of an end date you look at the strategy of your business and why its not working and look at the competition that is working and try and implement some change before giving up. Nice post certainly makes you think.

    Its very true what you are saying I used to think the answer to a greater productivity was to work more hours, which isn’t true. It doesn’t matter who your are after a few hours of working your mind drifts and your productivity drops. If you keep piling more and more work hours into your week it benefits you less than to take some time out then come back fresh. I guess life is about finding a balance and working smarter, not harder.

  3. You are right, of course. There are many paths a business can take. Once a business starts going downhill it does not mean you go out and arrange the funeral. Acting on information gained from reviewing strategy, observing competitors activities and customer surveys, for example, can help bring back prosperous times.
