I like to look at it mathematically. Productivity = worthwhile achievement divided by time. Putting in more time means you must equally increase the level of achievement or else productivity drops. It doesn't matter who your are after a few hours of working your mind drifts and your productivity drops. If you keep piling more and more work hours into your week it benefits you less than to take some time out then come back fresh. I guess life is about finding a balance and working smarter, not harder.
