Google Page Rank 6/10
March 1, 2008 – 2:59 amI am not sure if it is a miracle or a monumental stuff-up. But the site I am helping to build - Unlocking Limitations - is showing up with a Google PR of 6/10 and it is less than a month old. That is on the same level as www.slide.com, a top 500 site in the Alexa rankings!
Is my Google PR toolbar broken or are others seeing the same thing?
Brendan.

What keywords are you searching on?

The Google Page Rank is a system of ranking websites based on their perceived credibility. It is not a position on a search results page, but it can influence those positions. I am getting this information from a plug-in in my browser toolbar - http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus/.

Hi Brendan,
Thanks for that info - very useful. How do you get high page rankings?
I downloaded the plugin to Firefox & looked at slide.com & it showed PR of 6/10 & Alexa of 236. When I went to Unlocking Limitations it showed PR of 0/10 & Alexa of 1,499,373.
I’m using Firefox version 2.0.0.12
Cheers

My toolbar must be corrupt then. Oh well. It was a nice thought while it lasted.
High page rank comes from having quality incoming links to your site. Links from sites that have related content and themselves are seen as credible sites.
Update: - I just re-installed the plug-in and UL has dropped back to a PR of “unranked”. It was a glitch at my end.
