If you are researching internet based businesses models, keep the following points in mind.

  1. To rate well in search engine results pages, offer quality content that answers the questions being asked. Many people seem to be searching for online business degrees. It beats me why this is the case, but there must be a high demand for this type of product.
  2. To be in operation this time next year, and successful, keep adding quality content.
  3. Only recommend products that you have purchased and tried for yourself or would be happy to purchase if you had the need. Do not recommend get-rich-quick-schemes. That is a sure-fire way to harm your search engine ranking. Recommend quality merchandise, ebooks and services. There are no easy ways to make money online.
  4. Join reputable affiliate programs.
  5. Work hard to get incoming links from sites offering related content. If they are not in direct competition with you and you have loads of quality information on your site, they should be happy to provide a link.
  6. Set goals, work towards them, achieve them and then set more goals.

They are just a small number of steps required to be really success in any sort of online business. For a more comprehensive guide that really gets into the details read the Affiliate Masters Course, a free PDF download. It will take you more than a week to get through all of it but if you are serious about making a decent income from an internet business, have a go at reading this ebook. Although the title has “affiliate” in it, it covers a whole lot more than just being an affiliate.
