Hi Rosalind,
Thanks for your clarification.
I guess Ken is doing what anyone with a product or service would do. I have written posts to support products, sites or services I believe in.

I enjoy blogging but I often mess up some of the so-called “rules” of successful blogging. I will have to study Terry’s post in more detail and develop some more discipline.

Kath, thanks for dropping by. I checked out your site and I wonder if you would have something to gain by reviewing your layout and site promotion. Check out this post. I have created a site with them and it is ranking well and getting 14,000+ visitors per month. Important! Follow the last link on the post (results speak for themselves). It will show you some case studies, one of which is like your site. - The Ultimate Super Tip – Making Money Online
There’s probably another 6-12 months window of opportunity with this technique before it saturates the market. It’s definitely a good idea to get in now. You will have several months of good solid growth before it steadies approaching the 12 month time frame. - See your business as already broken
You are right, of course. There are many paths a business can take. Once a business starts going downhill it does not mean you go out and arrange the funeral. Acting on information gained from reviewing strategy, observing competitors activities and customer surveys, for example, can help bring back prosperous times. - Relax and your business will thrive
For sure. I like to look at it mathematically.Productivity = worthwhile achievement divided by time.
Putting in more time means you must equally increase the level of achievement or else productivity drops.

Hi Brendan,
Thanks kindly for the mention.
Just to clarify, my post was in direct response to Ken’s email with its incendiary subject line that called blogging a massive mistake… not so much the article which concedes that blogging can be used to supplement a site, using his site-building platform, of course.
Cheers,

Blogging is a tool used as a strategy to communicate and interact – that’s my take. The problem is so many wanna be bloggers don’t understand the basic rules for any blog or website. Terry Dean posted on these two rules succinctly http://www.terrydean.org/quality-website-traffic.
